Fetal multiple gallbladder calculi
There are multiple echogenic foci within the fetal gallbladder that are diagnostic of fetal gallbladder calculi. These may mimic gallbladder sludge; however, biliary sludge appears as fine particulate matter. Gallbladder calculi in the fetus usually resolve spontaneously within the first year of infancy. Therefore, this diagnosis is not very significant from a clinical point of view.
