Bilateral fetal renal agenesis: Potter syndrome
These images show severe oligohydramnios with non visualization of the fetal urinary bladder. Neither fetal kidney is visible, and the fetal adrenal glands are seen to fill up the empty renal fossae (the "lying down" adrenal sign). Bilateral renal agenesis, also called Potter sequence or Potter syndrome, often is a lethal diagnosis.
