Hi OBGYN.netters,
GOING:
It's been two weeks since I have sat still long enough to write a Reflections! First off, I'm walking again minus a cane so........of course I have to make up for lost time and get all the things for my new home that I haven't been able to shop for in the past four months. Roberta and I have made a couple of trips to our local "great prices" decorating stores and filled up the car and carted our treasures home. She had to then spend many hours hanging and setting things about and the results are....WONDERFUL! It finally looks like someone intends to actually live here.
The leg has healed nicely and except for a bit of a hobble I am getting around again. I have to work on that limp though as I don't think it's a turn-on in the "find a man" department. UGH.... I'm not looking, but who knows things may change on day. I think walking normal would be a good trait to have if I ever don't you?
BLOWING:
We are working so hard at OBGYN.net getting lots of New Sections up and ready to go. We have a wonderful sponsor, (to be announced soon) for our newest baby, Obstetrics/Birth & Pregnancy. This Special Section will be for Medical Professionals and Women/Patients. Mary Shoup and I are working our tails off on getting ready for a mid September launch. It will be our 2nd Birthday gift to you. We are so excited about this project and the wonderful company that is helping to sponsor it. Stay tuned....
Next biggie is another New Section devoted to Peri-Menopause & Menopause. We are just about ready to start working on this one and it will be just as wonderful as the Endo Pavilion and all the other Special Sections on OBGYN.net. Roberta has just talked with a company that has signed on to help sponsor it. Stay tuned for that announcement too!
It's a lot of work but there are so many great folks willing to give of their time and knowledge to get these two sections going that it will be well worth the effort. Roberta is doing the ground work getting sponsors for OBGYN.net so we can do a really great job in these departments.
GROWING:
I guess I don't have to tell you much about the growing part of OBGYN.net do I? All of you that have been around for the past two years and remember the "early days" have watched us grow. Those of you that are new to OBGYN.net and don't remember that day in September, 1997 when the lights went on and we went LIVE have no idea what I'm talking about ; but trust me we went from about 100 hits that month to over 100,000 in just two years.
It takes a lot more time and energy on the part of all the people around the world that are involved in OBGYN.net but the phenomenal growth is everyone's reward. OBGYN.net Latina was born this past year and thanks to the hard work of the Drs. Olmos, Mendez and Lapidus and so many other physicians in Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries that section is growing rapidly.
Well that's about it in the news department at OBGYN.net except to say that anyone interested in helping out with the new sections can email me and I'd love to have you onboard.
Warmly,
Barbara
