Ultrasound Interactive Case Study: Changing Appearance of the Uterine Fundus During Routine 19wk Scan

History:

Unremarkable second trimester obstetric ultrasound.

 

Ultrasound Findings:

This is a transverse view of the fundus. Early in the scan, the uterus appeared septated in the fundal segment. About 30 minutes later, it looked completely normal.

TRV Fundus. Change at 30-minute Interval.

 

Impression:

Probable contraction mimicking a uterine septum.
