Barbara is one of the original founders of OBGYN.net. Under her expert editorial leadership coupled with her extensive prior experience in the health care industry, OBGYN.net has grown to be the single largest and most respected on-line educational resource for obstetricians and gynecologists and their patients/clients in the world.

Since joining www.OBGYN.net, her job has been to continually focus on the needs of OB/GYN physicians and their patients. She works closely with doctors via email and by attending national and international medical conferences and seminars. Barbara has been responsible for the content updates on both the Medical Professional and Women/Patients sections. She initiated peer-review critiques of medical content, has developed an editorial staff, secures and re-publishes articles from medical journals, and maintains OBGYN.net's crucial presence at numerous worldwide conferences where she schedules and conducts video interviews with the leading luminaries.

Barbara has launched 23 featured sections and 5 International sections as well as 11 discussion forums for women and 9 discussion forums for medical professionals. She formed the Editorial Advisory Boards and Case of the Month columns for these sections. As editor of a web site that has grown exponentially since its inception eight years ago, Ms. Nesbitt's background as a licensed nurse and corporate experience provide the perfect combination of interpersonal communication skills and business knowledge.
