Susan C. Parker, PT, obtained her
Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in 1983. Over
the last 16 years, she has developed her skills through extensive continuing
education training in the areas of, Orthopedics, Industrial Medicine, and
Obstetric and Gynecologic Physical Therapy.
Ms. Parker is the Co-Owner of Greater Rochester Physical Therapy (GRPT) since
1991. GRPT is an independent private orthopedic outpatient practice providing
expert treatment of Orthopedic/ Musculoskeletal injuries and Women's Health
diagnosis. Her main interest lies in assisting women with pelvic floor
dysfunction attain their goals of returning to a functional healthy lifestyle.
Susan is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and
actively participates as a member of the APTA's Women's Health, Orthopedics, and
Private Practice sections. She is a member of The
International Pelvic Pain Society and The
National Vulvodynia Association; and has also worked on the APTA New York
State Insurance Committee since 1991 as well as several other committees. She
held the office of Finger Lakes District Director from 1987 to 1991 and was
awarded Outstanding Service to District for the years 1989 and 1991.
Susan serves as an Adjunct Lecturer of Women's Health at Ithaca College. She has
presented at the National Nurse Midwifery Convention, local Rochester Hospital
Grand Rounds and APTA meetings. She enjoys sharing the role Physical Therapy can
provide in the treatment of women with Chronic Pelvic Pain.
