Dr. Resad Pasic graduated from the University of Sarajevo School of Medicine in Bosnia where he also completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology. He came to the University of Louisville to continue his training by completing a fellowship in Gynecologic Laparoscopy in 1989. He also worked on his Ph.D. Thesis at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center from 1988 to 1989, which he obtained in 1990. Dr. Pasic joined the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health at the University of Louisville in 1992. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in our department and a Co-Director of the Operative Gynecologic Endoscopy Fellowship Program directed by Dr. Ronald Levine.

Dr. Pasic has participated as an invited speaker at numerous national and international conferences and postgraduate courses and has been a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopist (AAGL) since 1992. He is also a permanent teaching faculty of IMET since 1999 where he has taught at many courses on Advanced Laparoscopic Anatomy, Dissection and Reparative Pelvic Surgery on Unembalmed Female Cadavers. Dr Pasic has been nominated to the National Advisory Board of the AAGL Editorial Board of OBGYN.net and Gynaecologia and Perinatologia Journal. He has published multiple articles in the field of operative laparoscopy. He has co-edited a laparoscopic textbook entitled, “A Practical Manual of Laparoscopy: A Clinical Cookbook”. Currently he is co-editing a textbook on Hysteroscopy and Endometrial Ablation Techniques.
