About the School

The European School of Perinatal Medicine provides a comprehensive introduction to the science and practice of perinatal medicine. It is designed to address the needs of a clinician who has some experience in perinatal medicine but needs additional knowledge and practice in both obstetrics and neonatology. Attending the program participants will gain experience and confidence to put into practice back at their work sites.

The program is designed as a tutorial and review permitting participants to verify their knowledge or to identify areas where their knowledge be improved. The Course program will not only be an extension of postgraduate training for specialists and subspecialists, it will also feature updated and fresh information. Doctors interested in participating in the Course are requested to send a short CV (max 2 - 4 pages) with at least 10 articles published in peer reviewed journals (see the attached sheet).

European School of Perinatal Medicine utilises a unique combination of educational methods. In addition to lectures held by distinguished scientists, the course features:


Teaching is scheduled to morning and evening hours with possibility to skiing during the day. In the morning the lessons are held 08.30-11.30 a.m., in the afternoon 05.00-07.30 p.m. and in the evening 09.00-10.30 p.m.

Accreditation
This course will give accreditation to obtain the Certificate of "Perinatal Medicine" issued by the EAPM.

Registration fee
The registration fee of 350 Euro will include participation in high-level teaching and one-year subscription to the International Journal Prenatal and Neonatal Medicine.

Accommodation

Wide range of accommodations tailored to the participants' needs is available from 4-star hotels to boarding houses, self-catering flats and private accommodations. We would only like to point out that there are a lot of tourists during this period year. Therefore, we recommend you make you hotel reservation within 20 September 1999 to assure your lodging.

About Ortisei - St. Ulrich

is situated in Val Gardena, in the Dolomites 1236 m above the sea level. The Dolomites were formed about 200 millions of years ago by volcanic activities and today fossils from the Jurassic era can be admired at the Val Gardena Museum.
