The Sociedad Chilena de Obstetricia y Ginecología
will host the XVII FIGO World Congress.

The FIGO 2003 World Congress meeting will be held in Santiago, Chile in 2003, September 3-8.  Over the next three years, there will be many exciting changes leading up to this meeting, both at FIGO and here on the web site.  Many interactive changes are coming soon to the web site, including such things as the ability to register and to submit abstracts online for FIGO 2003.  Members of FIGO will be able to interact online in many other functions here as well; additions such as online forums for FIGO committee meetings as well as online discussion forums for individual associations are in the planning stages. Visitors can discuss the best restaurants and hotels in Santiago, learn more about the speakers and the sponsors of the events, and even obtain information about the presentations long before the program is mailed out to registrants.  If someone cannot attend one or more of the presentations at FIGO 2003, access to some of the lectures and events will be available on the FIGO site after the meeting.  Members will no longer have to attend every lecture to learn about new developments, or go by an exhibit booth to learn about a product, because this information will also be available online.

The next three years are destined to be an exciting time for FIGO and its membership, and FIGO 2003 promises to be a dynamic meeting in a beautiful city as FIGO enters the interactive world of the Internet!
