Three new ultrasound
systems unveiled with premium image quality plus 3D functions

The leader in 3D ultrasound, announced 3 new ultrasound systems at the major world exhibitions and conferences including ISUOG, Medica and RSNA. With the new digital 3D ultrasound systems introduced, Medison is now fully equipped with all new 3D ultrasound systems in its product line.
The three new systems – 128 BW, SA 8000, and Medison flagship – perform various 3D functions based on outstanding 2D image quality. Also, SONOACE 9900, which was first introduced August last year, is again reinforced with 3D functions and better image quality through the company’s annual breakthrough, Gold Performance 2001.

Medison flagship, leading the way in 3D ultrasound
Medison will debut new premium level ultrasound system next spring that responds to the needs of broad range of applications. The new system, which name will be officially disclosed with its first shipping, offers state-of-the-art image quality and 3D functions. Also, 6.4 inch touch panel screen will increase the diagnostic workflow.
SONOACE 8000, versatile yet affordable
The new SONOACE 8000 is a digital, multi-specialty ultrasound system that performs excellent 2D image quality, versatile 3D functions, and digital image management on a compact platform. With the Medison’s high-end technology migrated into the compact housing, SONOACE 8000 features harmonic imaging, Pulsed Inversion Harmonics, and multi-beam processing improving resolution in abdominal and cardiac imaging. The system also extends high sensitivity color Doppler and high-frequency imaging for all applications.
128 BW, the ultimate 128 channel B/W ultrasound system
128 BW, ultimate evolution in black-and-white ultrasound system produces crystal-clear images in fraction of time thanks to its 128 channel digital beamforming technology. Moreover, 128 BW features harmonic imaging in abdominal, cardiac and OB imaging. Triple frequency, and Free hand 3D is available. The system is compact and lightweight offering the best diagnostic circumstance and spacious location for various peripherals.
Medison’s most premium-level system will first shipped next spring, while SONOACE 8000 and 128 BW will first officially shipped from this December 2001.
Medison Ultrasound Acknowledged by World Medical Awards
In November, Medison was selected Top 3 from 2001 Hospitalar conference, in Brazil. It is one of the biggest annual medical machine exhibitions, which has more than 50,000 attendees.
The Hospitalar committee announced the top 3 for each department and Medison was given this award in the ultrasound department. This honor is awarded by research from doctors throughout Latin America thus its result shows outstanding fairness and clearness.
At the recent Fifth World Congress of Perinatal Medicine in Barcelona (Spain), in September, Medison received a special award recognizing the company’s contributions to the field of perinatal ultrasound, especially in 3-D technology.
Early this year, Medison was also presented with the ‘2001 Market Engineering Product Differentiation Innovation Award’ by Frost & Sullivan, the world-renowned medical consulting provider, for its 3D ultrasound technology.
