• House Surgeon at Government Wenlock and Lady Goshen Hospitals, Mangalore, Mysore, India.
• Internship at General Hospital, Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.
• 1975-1976 - Medical Officer at District Hospital, Taiping, Perak, Malaysia.
• 1976-1977 - Secondment to Ministry of Defence, Malaysia.
• 1977-1980 - Served in the Rascom Military Headquarters, Sibu, Sarawak, East Malaysia.
