Outline of Research and Clinical Interests
My clinical interest in Gynaecology is in vaginal surgery, and in Obstetrics I am most interested in Labour Ward management. I teach the former at the postgraduate level, and much of my personal research involves the latter. My research interests include the epidemiology of fetal birthweight and the pathophysiology of fetal distress. In support of research in these areas, I have developed knowledge and skills in numerical methods, probability and statistical methods, signal analysis, and neural networks.
